The Olij IFTEX experience
At the recently held IFTEX 2015, the Olij Breeding team had a busy but productive week, hosting East African rose growers not only at their stand during the show but also at their Naivasha based facility for open days in the period leading up to and during IFTEX. According to Olij East Afica's Sales Manager Sally Roberts, the show was an ideal platform for them to catch up again with clients as well as showcase their novelties and well known varities.
Long Island, a white/cream standard rose from Olij Breeding scooped the Bronze award in the roses category for The Best Flowers Quality Awards for Breeders. Long Island is a productive rose variety with very good vaselife.
According to Sally, visitors at both the stand at IFTEX and in Naivasha gave good compliment on the plants from the Olij Propagation facility. "We are generally very happy with the direction this is taking," she said

Arancio
This new intermediate Thybrid drew significant attention among visitors. Mainly due to its attractive orange colour and strong long stems. Arancio is a good orange with slow opening.
