Day 2: Second competition task: 100% hand-tied
The second task requires the creation of a revolutionary bouquet that is striking, unique, and never before seen in a time limitof 1 hour.
My bouquet will be unique and striking because one can appreciate and discover its beauty on a second stage by exploring every detail, visible or not.
I experimented with different varieties of flowers∙ from the wildest to the most tender ones. Every single flower has its own distinct beauty' a fact which I tried to highlight. Sometimes, the beauty of a flower needs special handling in order to be fully expressed and realized.
Unique and special creations must be given to the appropriate receivers. I would share this bouquet with Mother Nature herself in order to pay my tribute and express the humility I feel every time I bask in her greatness. I would also share it with those that love and respect nature. My goal is to deliver a universal message stating that only because of Mother Nature does everything around us acquire the beauty and charm we witness.
Day 2: Third competition task: 100% organic
Task three relates to freedom by reduction. All of the contestants are required to avoid using any materials that are not recyclable. This is all about creating a 100% organic workpiece that is free of floral foam, wire, or metal.
I handle all my materials with outmost care, as they deserve to be handled, thus securing the necessary conditions for them to survive and thrive.
I feel like I came a bit closer to that which people call “wisdom” by utilizing all those materials that I should not have due to the difficulty of their handling. Therefore, my personal work is devoid of easy choices and I believe that by following the course of Nature, we are always led to the best possible outcome
