Fleurop - Interflora World Cup Berlin Day 2 by Martin Groen
On the second day of Fleurop Interflora World Cup competition, the designers were asked to undertake two live task which they could prepare at home. First- a revolutionary bouquet 100% Hand-tied. The second assigment of the day was all about creating a 100% organic workpiece that is free of floral foam, wire, or metal.
It was another day with amazing floral design work.. Where the competitors fought to get a spot into the finals. Only ten would make it to the next day....

Day 2: Second competition task: 100% hand-tied
The second task requires the creation of a revolutionary bouquet that is striking, unique, and never before seen in a time limitof 1 hour.
It triggers a true ‘wow’ effect. The bouquet has two bind points on two sides, and come together in one bouquet themed: “Freedom brings two parts together.”
Gloriosa, Calla, Lathyrus, Hydrangea, roses and carnations in the colours orange, purple and lavender.
To all the people, countries or continents that bring two parties together and fight for freedom.
Day 2: Third competition task: 100% organic
Task three relates to freedom by reduction. All of the contestants are required to avoid using any materials that are not recyclable. This is all about creating a 100% organic workpiece that is free of floral foam, wire, or metal.
A natural wooden subsurface, a basic and natural arrangement without strings, braids or other artificial techniques. It truly embodies a Martin Groen arrangement, based on nature, and is big, robust and foremost, very flowery.
That whatever you are trying to make, you are always dependent on non-organic materials. This means making a truly organic piece is basically making the impossible possible, where people stand before it and wonder how this is made pithout using iron pins, screws, and such. My theme is: “Natural Organic…a reflection of freedom.”
