Fleurop - Interflora World Cup Berlin - Day 1 Panagiotis Tsiamouras
It was an exiting first day of Fleurop Interflora World Cup competition. All competitors had to do two tasks. Starting of with a surprize item in the morning and in the afternoon the first task the competitors had prepared beforehand. Titled, ‘100% Personal’.
Flowerweb and it team was right there and worked with the organisation to make sure we not only show you the end results but also the story behind the creations and techniques used told by the competitors themselves.
Below you can see the results from competitor Panagiotis Tsiamouras from Greece
On our Fleurop - Interflora event page you can see the floral designs from the other competitors.

100% Dianthus
All contestants were given a surprise assignment which was called "100% Dianthus". They had 4 hours preperation time and 90 minutes time to actually finish the assigment with flowers.
The main ingredients of this assigment:
All competitors recieved the same metal construction.
The main focus in the overall design should be on Dianthus flowers. All competitors were free to use as many of the provided materials as they want.
For me it was a gift to work with Dianthus. In Greece it’s not appriciated how it’s supposed to be, but for me it’s one of my favorites.
Even if it would be a flower that I don’t like, stil it’s up to the florist to be créative enough to make something great with.

Day 1: First competition task: 100% personal
The first World Cup task is all about the personality of the finalists. Free of the compulsion to observe rules or conventions, the individual work pieces should reflect the different facets of their characters.

In its own unique and infallible ways, Mother Nature guides every plan, idea and conception that we are called upon to materialize by making use of the equally unique materials nature herself provides us with. Always disciplined in her rules and respectful of the materials provided, I express different aspects of myself through my art.

Numerous months of rigorous preparation guided me to the bold decision of retaining the vitality of my materials so that balance and maximum extension of their lifespan can be achieved

To me, freedom means to move away from any bonds that tend to limit imagination and curb the spirit. It means being able to unfold my emotions with no restrictions or bias so that I can create and express my dreams. Therefore, I enjoy every moment I spend being and working within nature and its wonders because it makes me feel uniquely free.
