Fleurop - Interflora World Cup Berlin - Day 1 Nataly Bruk
It was an exiting first day of Fleurop Interflora World Cup competition. All competitors had to do two tasks. Starting of with a surprize item in the morning and in the afternoon the first task the competitors had prepared beforehand. Titled, ‘100% Personal’.
Flowerweb and it team was right there and worked with the organisation to make sure we not only show you the end results but also the story behind the creations and techniques used told by the competitors themselves.
Below you can see the results from competitor Nataly Bruk from Belarus
On our Fleurop - Interflora event page you can see the floral designs from the other competitors.

100% Dianthus
All contestants were given a surprise assignment which was called "100% Dianthus". They had 4 hours preperation time and 90 minutes time to actually finish the assigment with flowers.
The main ingredients of this assigment:
All competitors recieved the same metal construction.
The main focus in the overall design should be on Dianthus flowers. All competitors were free to use as many of the provided materials as they want.
In this work, I felt completely free because of the wide choice of materials. In my work it does not matter with what materials to work, the freedom is the formation of the materials in an object

Day 1: First competition task: 100% personal
The first World Cup task is all about the personality of the finalists. Free of the compulsion to observe rules or conventions, the individual work pieces should reflect the different facets of their characters.

Pithiness, cleanliness and airiness are fundamental in my composition, as the three pillars supporting the richness of the inner world, presenting a bright palette of my feelings and emotions. Simplicity and void as canvas, easy to perceive different shades and colors of the world integrating and transforming through my inner world, which is constantly filled with something new, creating diversity. Constantly reaching for the sky, thirst for open air, hope to learn how to fly, when I stay on the ground.

Preparation time of my compositions took about 6 months. Different techniques and materials have been used in my work. On a wooden canvas with numerous metal rods I will put a lot of flowers in tubes filled with water. The tubes will be fixed on the wood structure base.

Freedom in my life is the inner feeling when you are in harmony and contained within. The work is the feeling expressed at the level of intuition when it pushes you to the willingness of act without a doubt.
