Follow U.S. Floral Designer as he Prepares for the 2015 World Cup
Floral Designer, Jacob McCall was recently selected by FTD to be the US representative during the forthcoming 14th Fleurop-Interflora World Cup floral design competition. The event to be held in Berlin Germany is slated for, June 11-13, 2015 and will feature 24 participants drawn from various countries around the world. The competing designers will be required to create floral designs with preplanned and surprise materials.

The Interflora World Cup is held every four years; the last one being 13th Interflora World Cup 2010 held in Shanghai, China. Participation in the competition is by invitation only, and competitors must have already been successful in competitions or exhibitions at an international level.
Jacob represented the U.S. in the 2011 America’s Cup floral design competition in Brazil, where he took second place. Most recently, Jacob won the Sylvia Cup at the SAF Convention in 2014. He also won the Sunshine Cup at the Florida State Florists’ Association convention in 2013, and theIron Designer Competition at the International Floriculture Expo in 2010 and 2011.
