This workshop is about an intuitive form of painting. Jackson Pollock coined the concept of gestural painting, which for him was essentially about the painting process and less about the end result. The colour is drummed, thrown or spread onto the canvas. The creative process usually results in the emergence of new techniques. This way of painting is felt to be liberating and always leads to something new.
