Jürgen Herold Winner of the German Qualifier for the Fleurop Interflora World Cup
The qualification of the German participant for the Fleurop-Interflora World Cup was held at the IPM Essen in the FDF-FloristEvent on wednessday 28 January.
The five finalists were performing live action while designing their two surprise pieces of work.

The finalists qualified by submitting a written application. Entering the German decider were:
- Timo Bolte, Doll´s Blumen, Vienna
- Sonja Sauerbrey, Gärtnerei Epp, Lenggries
- Jürgen Herold, Handwerk Floraldesign, Berlin
- Nico Harmeling, Blumen Naskret, Düsseldorf
- Marcel Schulz, Daniels Blumenstudio, Illingen (qualified by winning the German Championship of Florists, DMF 2014)

First Assignment: Floral Object
First Assignment: Floral Object: Each Competitor had to use the metal frame .... sundries and botanical material from the box, could be used by them but they didn´t had to use them at all.
The Competitor and their assistant had 2,5 hours on tuesday and 2,5 on Wednesday to prepare this task for the stage.
On stage they had to use the first 20 minutes to finish the work and work the whole time straight trough.

The Second assignment: "black box"
The Second assigment was a "black box". The candidates could open their box from Smithers Oasis filled with supplies and Flowers supplied by FleuraMetz. They had 10 minutes to discuss with their assistants and sort and prepare the materials and flowers.
After which the clock started to count down for 20 minutes in which they were to prepare a handtied bouquet.. Especially in the dying seconds of the competition the competitors and audience could feel the tension in the air.
