Colombia gets New Minister of Agriculture
Aurelio Iragorri was recently appointed Colombia’s new Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. He is to take over the reigns of a 6.2%-GNP industry and tackle his essential role as a protagonist within the nation’s anticipated post-conflict era.

The new Minister is also faced with carrying out several initiatives looming on the horizon, such as The Agrarian Pact, The Mission to Transform Rural Colombia, the Agricultural Census, Policy for Comprehensive Farm Policy for the Havana peace-talk negotiations and the Program for Restitution of Lands.
Iragorri paid a visit to an Antioquian Flower Farms along with Asocolflores representatives and the president of Finagro last December.
