The 29th edition of the Horticultural Entrepreneur's Prize 2015 has been won by Florensis from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht.
'Florensis has incorporated sustainability into all of its operating processes, both national and international,' judged the jury of the Horticultural Entrepreneur's Prize. 'This applies to the cultivation locations in the Netherlands, Portugal, Kenya and Ethiopia. With an assortment totalling 4,000 products, including annual summer flowers, cut flowers, perennials, pot plants and biennials primarily produced for export in a short growing season, it is a complex and intensive business.
Florensis succeeds brilliantly in this through good collaboration with many partners in the chain and advanced automation. Florensis develops and shares knowledge and is committed to the continued development of the sector. Florensis is a company that the sector can be proud of.' The other nominees were Chrysantenkwekerij Arcadia, Artemis and Aspergekwekerij Martens.
