Consumer Connected in The Village

Receive the personal, consumer-oriented messages on your smartphone.

How will the consumer buy flowers and plants in the future? We give glimpses of the future in The Village during the Trade Fair being held on November 5 - 7 in Aalsmeer. The Village is one large concept store, displaying four scenarios of possible consumer buying behaviour for flowers and plants in the future. We link high-tech developments to the ultimate experience of flowers and plants. One of the scenarios is called Consumer Connected. In previous newsletters the other three scenarios, FlowerWindow, the Candy Store and Digital comes2life, have already been described.

Receiving personal reports on your smartphone

Every consumer is unique. Each individual has other interests and buying behaviour when you look at the details. In Consumer Connected we let the visitor experience how it is to receive personal messages on your own smartphone. The consumers are thus taking the lead and controlling the source of the messages they receive. The messages are tailored to the background, interests and buying behaviour of that consumer.

With the FloraHolland trade fair app, visitors receive personal messages about the Trade Fair, Our World of Plants (Waterdrinker), The Village and the four scenarios on display, details about the products used, events, stands, etc. In other words: about everything happening at the Trade Fair. Receiving information with this app on your own mobile phone - a unique experience that enriches your visit to the trade fair!

Personal relationship with individual customers

This application has a wealth of possibilities. It is an actively functioning instrument with which a consumer can build her own, personal relationship with the shop. And vice versa, the shop can foster a unique, personal relationship with every individual customer.This makes it a good instrument to augment customer loyality.

To use Consumer Connected to the full extent, it is necessary to download the FloraHolland trade fair app. This is available from Monday, November 3, under 'FH Trade Fair' in the Appstore and Google play. After downloading our trade fair app, you will receive the first push-up messages about The Village as soon as you arrive at the Trade Fair. So keep your eye on your telephone and accept the push-up messages.

To make use of this Village application, you need to activate Bluetooth. The app is available for iPhones 4s, 5 and 6 and the new Android telephones.
