"Last Minute" by Jan de Ridder at Fleuramour 2014
Floral designer Jan de Ridder was asked to decorate the church at Alden Biesen during Fleuramour 2014.
Instead of doing a wedding decoration in the church Jan decided to do a funeral decoration... And according to Jan funarals decorations are only good if you do not recognize them as typical funeral decorations.
Funerals by itself can be beautifull happy moments were great memories of loved once are shared. Moments like that deserve colorful flowers that can brighten you up.
For this decoration Jan choose to work primarily with Chrysantimum. He mentioned they are wrongly seen as old-fashioned or used in the "background". Nowadays there are many new varieties’ available in in all sorts of colors. So Jan decided to use them as the focal point in his modern en trendy design to brighten up the church.
