"Infinity" by Natallia Sakalova
This year at Fleuramour 2014 one of our favourite floral designs could be found in one of the smallest rooms..
It proofs that floral designers can be very dedicated artists... Natallia Sakalova has been working on her project for months.
She was asked to create a floral design in honour of an newly introduced Cyclame called "Merengue", which has a Heavily fringed flowers, is fragrant and elegant, like the dance it is named after.
But it also made Natallia think of a "Merengue" that comes freshly out oven... crispy and fragile.... so she decided to work on that theme..
Armed with 30,000 fresh walnut leaves and 2kg in tiny metal pins, and a Styrofoam circle with a 2,4 meters diameter.... she got to work!
The making off and results can be seen below.
