Anthurium growers support the Heart Foundation (Hartstichting)*
In September, the anthurium growers support the Heart Foundation. The growers provide every plant with a heart label and hope they can donate € 10.000,- to the Heart Foundation with the sale of anthuriums in a period of 4 weeks.
Heart
The robust potanthurium characterizes itself by a big and prominent bract in the shape of a heart. The bract provides the plant colour which varies per variety in red, pink, white, green and purple. An anthurium can keep his ornamental value for months.
Health
One of the causes of heart problems is an unhealthy lifestyle. Although plants like anthurium are not a medicine, they contribute the health according to scientific investigations. Since the eighties it has proven that patients recover faster by the presence of plants. This effect is partly explained by the soothing effect which plants emanate.
Dress Red Day
Cardiovascular diseases are the number one cause of death worldwide for women. Research has been done so far for especially men, but the results cannot be automatically used for women. The Heart Foundation gives priority to research to cardiovascular diseases for women. On September 27 it is Dress Red Day. A day to look at the work of the Heart Foundation for female heart patients by using red clothes, accesoires, plants or flowers.
Ladies, please note in your agenda, wear a red dress on September 27!
Promotion commission potanthurium
Anthura is a member of the national potanthurium promotion commission. Together with growers, they organize promotions. This special action with the Heart Foundation is one of the promotion activities which we arrange together with growers.
