5th New York Flower Festival

The 5th New York Flower Festival was held from the 22nd to the 29th of June. The Big Apple has been able to host the event thanks in part to the sizable sampling of Colombian flowers put toward the floral tapestries displayed at the Queens Botanical Gardens and at Flushing Meadows, Corona Park.

The Director of the Botanical Gardens pointed out the importance of the aid of those companies who help out the Asocolflores Antioquia Region by donating flowers for the festival. The diverse communities that make up the city of New York attend the New York Flower Festival, and are also able to see the Back-saddle Flower Artisan parade held in Central Park West in Manhattan on June 29th. The ‘Flores Esmeralda’, ‘Grupo Vegaflor’, ‘Flores El Trigal’ (Queens Flowers), ‘Flores del Este’ and ‘Grupo Capiro’, adorned festival events carried out around New York with flowers from their farms.
