Since today is International Friendship Day, you have an excellent excuse to treat your best friend to an arrangement of top quality roses. Like this fresh and summery bouquet of Peach Avalanche+. It exudes happiness and warmth, and the magnificent roses say: ‘You’re very special to me’. Avalanche+ is a Dutch top rose famous for its big flower heads, stamina and glamourous presence. This trifecta makes it the one and only rose to celebrate your best friend with.
Just in case you’re wondering: Friendship Day was originally founded by Hallmark in 1919. It was intended to be a day for people to celebrate their friendship by sending each other cards, but by 1940 the market had dried up, and eventually it died out completely. However, in 1998 Winnie the Pooh (yes, that makes us giggle too) was named the world’s Ambassador of Friendship at the United Nations (it’s really a Serious Organisation, isn’t it?). And in April 2011 the United Nations officially recognised 30th July as International Friendship Day; although most countries celebrate on the first Sunday of August!
