Two De Ruiter Codes that Stand Out Dazzingly
Our visit to De Ruiter East Africa this July reveals several newly unveiled codes. All of these pre-commercial rose varieties at the Naivasha based farm have been 'tailor-bred' for the East African rose grower.. with emphasis on good growth and trade characteristics. According to De Ruiter's Ed Manning, interested rose growers can have some of these codes availed to them for trials. This is a good time to visit and sample the assortment.

From the various initial trials undertaken, code C08 0852 002 has proven to be a good and high producer. The bi-coloured rose has an attractive combination of yellow and red and is suitable for all altitudes. It realizes a decent headsize of 4 - 4.5 cm.
