Stefan Gegg appointed new President Fleurop-Interflora

Stefan Gegg has been named president of Fleurop-Interflora which consists of over 50,000 affiliated florists based in 150 countries around the world. The global organization was incepted in 1946 following the merger of the American FTD (Florists Transworld Delivery), the European Fleurop-Interflora, and the Interflora British Group (British Commonwealth).
Its supervisory board is made up of four representatives from each of these three groups. A world president is elected every two years; and commencing June 4, 2014, the new President is Stefan Gegg, who is also CEO of Fleurop AG.
In June 2013, the 44-year old Gegg was elected president of the European branch, the Fleurop-Interflora Association, and of the Fleurop-Interflora Global Flower Services AG. Since June 2013 he has been responsible for the interests of the profession at European level.
