Product news from Interplant East Africa showroom this June
Before, during and after the much acclaimed IFTEX Nairobi International flower show, the Interplant East Africa breeding facility in Naivasha had an intensely colorful display of their rose assortment. Here are some of the interesting rose varieties at the showhouse this June. We join Robert and Gavin for an insightful walk around the showhouse.
Moonwalk®
From the way the variety is currently flowering at Interplant East Africa, it is clear to see that moonwalk has one of the most cheerful shades of yellow in the market. The rose is also a good producer with a range of 180-190 in the Naivasha's 1,950m asl altitude and a 4-4.5cm headsize. It also maintains a decent head size of an average 3.8 cm in lower altitudes such as Naivasha while recording production levels of 210-220.

The lovely pink color on Breezer® is undoubtedly very eyecatching. She is a versatile intermediate hybrid tea and an easy grower. This newly introduced variety is especially quite a favorite in Ecuador. She is a good producer with an average of 180 in Naivasha and grows a bigger head in higher altitude. Breezer® has a stemlength of 50-70cm and a vaselife of 14-16 days.
