Anthurium is the centre of attention as ‘house plant of the month’ in June, an initiative of Flower Council Holland (Bloemenbureau Holland). Anthurium is a plant with a high ornamental value. It does not only offer a fresh green foliage, but also nice, shining flowers. This exotic plant with its gleaming leaves and coloured flowers livens up both a classic as well as a modern interior.
‘House plant of the month’ is an initiative of the Flower Council Holland and comes about with the financial support of the European Union. Each year the Flower Council chooses, together with representatives from the horticultural sector, a plant that will be promoted intensively during one month. The promotion activities are among others special posters, mailings to trade and retail, attention on the website of the Flower Council Holland and nice images and pictures. This year they even made a promotion film for the anthurium pot plant.
The anthurium pot plant attracks much attention and it is impossible to imagine life today without the anthurium pot plant in the assortment of the florist, garden center and supermarket. In the meantime it has become one of the most loved houseplants.
Next to the high ornamental value, the plant is also easy to keep. The plant clears the air, stands rough handling and only needs a bit of water. Many colours are available, from traditional red to pink or salmon-coloured and from one uniform colour to two-coloured or spotted. There even exists an orange anthurium pot plant, that especially in June will make your interior extra special because of the world championship football.
The anthurium has already been a loved plant for many years now and the anthurium deserves it. This lovely houseplant with its shining green leaves, coloured flowers and happy spadix really makes a statement. A white anthurium provides a serene effect, while the brightly coloured varieties have a lively result. The plants fits in each interior, which gives it the reputation as a gift (Source: Flower Council Holland).
