Floraholland warns of Serious traffic interuptions during the NSS slated for 24 and 25 March
On 24 and 25 March, the Netherlands will be welcoming 58 world leaders, 5000 delegate members and 3000 journalists for the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS). It is the largest conference ever organised in the Netherlands. To escort the delegations from Schiphol Airport to The Hague and to assure all guests' safety, roads and whole areas of The Hague will be closed off.

This closure will impact FloraHolland, suppliers, buyers and transporters; also considering how the closure is in the run-up to Mother's Day in the UK on 30 March. The auctions will conduct business as usual at all FloraHolland sites, but the accessibility of Rijnsburg will be particularly constrained.
The A44 motorway in the direction of The Hague will be closed off on Sunday afternoon already. Rijnsburg can still be reached via the N206, however. This road will only be closed off temporarily at those moments when a delegation must pass. Regarding the routes between FloraHolland locations, mainly the routes between Aalsmeer and Rijnsburg and between Rijnsburg and Naaldwijk will be affected.
FloraHolland is consulting with its customers to find ways of limiting the annoyance, and advises all customers to take account of the traffic disruption well in advance. Exporters are advised to inform their end customers about the impending traffic situation and possible delays as a result.
