The floral side of the 86th Academy Awards
Immediately the curtain comes down on the Academy Awards, the actors and actresses stride upstairs with statuettes at hand to the most famous Oscar's afterparty; the Governor's Ball. The decor and setting at the Governor's ball party is just as elegant and exquisite as the occasion it serves.
During the 86th ceremony, the Governor's Ball was decorated out with walls of curtains made from florals giving the picturesque effect of a midnight lush ‘vertical garden’.

For the past 18 years, US based florists, Marks Garden, has been in charge of the gorgeous floral arrangements at the Governor’s Ball.
This time round the talented team of florists from Marks Garden put their best foot forward in bringing out a magical floral moment. Surrounded with cascading walls of thousands of blooms of roses, orchids, kale and hydrangea with ferns and exotic vines, the plants will be separated by green velvet draping and accented with white birch trees.
