"For you it should rain red roses" by Kerstin Schiefer
The Porta Nova Red Naomi roses are regarded as the ultimate expression of love and affection. During the NRW "Silver Rose" National Championship of florists, the participating designers were required to create a Red Naomi heart using 200 Porta Nova Red Naomi stems. And at IPM Essen they were invited to redo their hearts as a Valentine wish for the visiting florists and trade.
One of the disigners is Kerstin Schiefer. Below you can see how she created her heart.
In my design the roses as a form are obviously in the foreground. Out of this heart arise different kinds of flowers, which symbolize the rain together with the asymmetric decoration.
My floral design is completely stuck into an OASIS-basis, to ensure the waterflow to the components. Some kinds of flowers, for example the succulents are stuck onto wire before they were stuck into the basis.

contruction of the collumn and the holder
i made the frame out of cement and clued it with angelwings.
i start with the outer row to fit the form to the frame
firstly i stuck the basis completely with roses to get the form of the heart
when the heart is stuck with roses i complete it with more kind of flowers to show a down flowing movement.
