Cycle through the greenhouse

Westland Experience, a company that provides sport events in order to promote horticulture in the Westland organizes a camp in 's Gravenzande with a bike' across the greenhouse.

The event Across the greenhouse takes place on Saturday 8 June. The expectation of organizer Westland Experience is that about 100 to 150 people going to ride with the bike. Organizer Rick Cups: "We have the bike ride organized on behalf of Holiday Vlugtenburg in 's Gravenzande They open the camping season.."

During the ride they go by at least 11 nurseries. Among other companies Combinations, chrysanthemum grower Michel Grootscholten and pot and bedding plants grower Peter van der Plas participate in the route. "The cyclists go in at the  front of a company, going over the concrete boards, and go out at the back again," says Van Koppen. In the greenhouse can not be cycled for security reasons. The tour is a tour of about 35 kilometers. The camp will be about 24 stalls where real Westland products are promoted by companies. Participation in the tour costs five euros and can enter through the site.

Westland Experience is a young company that since this year and is composed of two young entrepreneurs Koen Hofstede and Rick heads the Small Business & Retail Management study. The two were born and raised in the Westland and want to promote the region and its horticulture.

 

Since this year the two care every second Saturday of the month cycling through the Westland region. In addition, three greenhouse visited the people there and get a tour. "We work with 24 growers," Van Koppen. The target group of the boys are people from the Westland region, delfland and Randstad, but the ambition is to attract later. Rural people to the region
