The 12th edition of the annual Flower Expo Ukraine was held 17-19 April, at the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) in Kiev. The event also always holds an interactive and quite informative demo program that attracts florists and other professionals from all over Ukraine and neighbouring countries.
Each year the organisers work together with the best floral designers in order to maintain a high quality demo program that offers new perspectives, shows new trends and knowledge exchange. Among the floral designers this year were Dasha Pinalova and Iryna Byelobrova who presented inspiring designs using Lehner Wolle³ flower wool; along the theme ´interior compositions warm floristics.
Flowerweb had a quick chat with Dasha who had described her colleague Iryna’s work as diverse, resourceful and very creative. She informs us that they used an array of Lehner Wolle materials including; Felts single color, Confeti felts, Vintage felts, Klausi felts, Dochtfaden, Vintage yarn, Dochtfaden with wire and lurex.
¨Lehner Wolle materials are quite good and versatile in terms of transformation. You can use it with glue, with pin and with wire. They also have very good color palette. Iryna has been engaged in professional floristry since 1992. She runs a school of professional floristic "Floris" and conducts trainings, workshops and shows in different cities of Ukraine and in other countries. She likes to combine floristry with different crafts such as ceramics, weaving, collage and felting. She has a lot of experience in the flower business and is often engaged in consulting services such as organizing opening of flower shops and promoting the florist profession in the Ukrainian market and beyond. Since 2013, she has been the President of the Ukrainian Florists Society.
“I like to work as a florist in any interesting projects. Of flowers I prefer epiphytes. Of the styles - botany.”
Dasha has been a professional florist for four years now and has taken part in different quite a number of flower festivals; floristic events and competitions. She worked as an assistant for a lot of famous well established florists. Dasha has also carried out floral design demos in different countries and currently is Project manager of the Ukrainian Florists Society.
